Remembering My Father-n-Law

This being his birthday, I am remembering my father-n-law. I was blessed to have a father-n-law that served and loved the Lord. He loved his family and we have some special memories. His job required him to travel on a
daily basis. He kept biblical pamphlets in his truck and would stop at various places and leave them for people to read about the Lord. He left them under the overpasses where he thought that homeless people might sleep. I would not have thought about that, but he did.
He loved to play his guitar or fiddle with his friends and family. We would gather in our homes for times of fellowship and making music. He would play his guitar or fiddle, my husband on the banjo, my sister-n-law on the piano, my mother-n-law singing, and friends on their instruments. Those times are special memories to me. He has gone to be with the Lord and we miss him a lot but we have some very special memories to hold onto. He is gone from this earth but definitely not forgotten. The picture at the top is of him doing what he enjoyed. He is the one playing the guitar. It is a picture of a picture, so the quality is not very good. He left his mark on his children and grandchildren. His son and daughter both favor him and his grandchildren are musically talented like him, so.... he lives on through them.
